TOP 14 - Day 14 : Summary of all games

Top 14 returns with a weekend full of quality rugby!

TOP 14 | LOU RUGBY - RC TOULON: 27-12

Facing Toulon was a test for Lyon - a test validated by a well-deserved victory. Heckled in the first half by the Toulonnais who quickly scored the first points of the game (Belleau in the 3rd minute), the Lyonnais found themselves led 10-12 at the break. After returning from the locker room, the Lyonnais were no longer the same and inflicted a 17-0 score to the Toulonnais. Lyon temporarily takes the lead in the ranking.

TOP 14 | CA BRIVE - SECTION PALOISE: 33-26

Incredible reversal at the Brive Municipal Stadium. Led by 13 points at the break by the Paloise Section, Brive found the mental resources to catch up, and even exceed, their opponents. Thomas Laranjeira was able to reverse this perilous situation with his double (77th and 80th). Section Paloise, who believed they were well on their way to victory at the break, was not even able to get the defensive bonus.

TOP 14 | CASTRES OLYMPIQUE - RACING 92: 0-27

A sad evening for Castres Olympique. Rory Kockott's teammates completely missed their opportunity. 0 points scored, 1 red card and a stunning defeat that disappointed fans. For Racing 92, this was an easy and well-deserved victory against this losing team.

TOP 14 | STADE ROCHELAIS - MONTPELLIER : 35-30

After a great start to the game, Montpellier deflated opposite the Stade Rochelais. At the break, La Rochelle was leading 22-11. In the second half, La Rochelle led up to 21 points until the hour of play (32-11). Montpellier then woke up and registered 3 tries in the last 20 minutes. But this was insufficient for Montpellier - Stade Rochelais remains invincible at home.

TOP 14 | ASM CLERMONT - STADE FRANÇAIS PARIS: 29-19

Jostled by the Parisians in the first period, the Clermontois were led by 4 points at the break. In the second half, two tries by Mcintyre and Yato put ASM back on track - finally overtaking the Parisians. This is a cherished victory for the Jaunards - and for what’s to come in the competition. ASM Clermont goes back to 6th place in the ranking, while the Stade Français provisionally remains in 13th place, pending the Agen game.

TOP 14 | AVIRON BAYONNAIS - SU AGEN: 22-23

A cruel scenario for Aviron Bayonnais who thought they would win after a final penalty by Fajardo in the 75th minute. Leading by 6 points, the Agen offense dismissed the game after the ball carried by the offense found James Taulagi at the end - who grounded the ball. Berdeu scored a try, allowing Agen to win by one point. In the classification, Agen goes back to 13th place while Bayonne remains 10th, 5 points from Brive.

TOP 14 | STADE TOULOUSAIN - UNION BORDEAUX-BEGLES : 22-14

A big blow by the Stade Toulousain against Bordeaux-Bègles. At home, the Stade Toulousain knew how to contain and control their opponent. In the first period, Kolbe and Placines helped the Toulousains take the lead. At halftime, Toulouse led by 5 points (12-7). In the second half, the Rouge et Noir continued to keep their hands on the ball, depriving Bordeaux-Bègles of ammunition. Ramos went for his try. Pelissié’s try for Bordeaux-Bègles at the end of the game couldn’t change the final outcome. Stade Toulousain goes back to 6th place, while the UBB yields the first place to Lyon.
